![]() In math, we will still be working on Geometry. This has proven to be both easy and challenging for the students. The hands on work is very helpful when making and building new shapes using other shapes. Being able to visualize what shape would fit doesn't always come easy so using those shapes to attempt really helps. They will learn about three dimensional shapes: rectangular prism, cone, sphere and a cube. They will need to understand the definition as well as the properties of those shapes (how many sides and how many corners). We will again, do a lot of visual and hands on work with this to ensure understanding. Word study OW/OU will continue with more word work, focusing on writing and using these new words in sentences. They will do a few writing sheets, some smart board activities and a game of sparkle before their assessment on Friday.
