During math, I've been throwing some complicated, multi-step problems at them! Some are embracing the challenge, others not so much ha ha but they are learning how to persevere and make more than one attempt to solve a problem. Take a look at what comes home, maybe have a talk out about it. See if they can explain their work (or probably their frustration wink wink) but hopefully they can tell you what they did or tried.
Today we did a problem involving rows of gum. They had to tell me how many pieces of gum (but they couldn't count by 1's) and if there are 16 pieces in each pack, how many packs did they have to use.
