I have LOVED reading about small moments these last few weeks. The class has enjoyed sharing and reading some great books that go along with our small moments:
The Snowy Day
Big Sister, Little Sister
How to Babysit a Grandpa
Do Like Kayla
Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
The Night of the Veggie Monster
Now that we have an understanding of what a small moment is, how to plan out our thoughts, it is time to move on to the conventions of writing. We talked today about just 4 small things that we need to remember:
1. Capitals at the start of a sentence.
3. Periods at the end of our thoughts.
4. Writing in lower case letters
Today I worked with some children one on one and in small groups to reread our writing, which sometimes is a telltale sign that we may have missed some of the above conventions. We didn't harp on spelling, but focusing on the format.
